The Worship Committee is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating parish worship and prayer activities. This committee implements liturgical policies within the parish as directed by the Diocese of Richmond.

Altar Servers (Children & Youth)
Cross Bearers and Candle Bearers assist at liturgies and/or special services. Training is provided as needed or requested.
Time commitment: 1-2 hours per week

Art and Environment
Members of the Art & Environment Ministry maintain the worship space as a welcoming environment while keeping the space liturgically correct. They prepare the Commons and Church for the appropriate liturgical season. Order and arrange flowers. Decorate altar and church for the appropriate liturgical time.
Time commitment: 3 hours per week

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (E.M.H.C.)
E.M.H.C. help with the celebration of the Eucharist at Mass as scheduled, sharing the Body and Blood of Christ.
Time committment: 1-3 hours per month

Greeters welcome and seat members of the assembly. Prepare baskets and collect offerings. They seek out Mass Coordinator for any special instructions and identify to a Eucharist Minister persons needing Communion in their pew. They distribute bulletins. After Mass, they return kneelers to proper places and in general prepare the church for the next celebration.

Homebound Ministry
The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (E.M.H.C.) visit the sick and homebound, taking the Eucharist and the prayers of our community. Visits take place at a time agreed upon by the E.M.H.C. and the person being visited.

Time commitment: 1 hour per month plus preparation time
