Knights of Columbus
Our primary principles are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
The Council works to support Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and its Pastor, Parish Life and Community Activities. The Council’s activities include quarterly breakfasts, Friday Lenten Fish Fries, social meetings with guest speakers, weekly coffee and doughnuts following 8:30 a.m. Mass, an annual benefit Golf Tournament, support of parish ministries and other services. The Council works closely with the pastor for special needs and requests throughout the year. Financial support is also given to various parish needs, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and community requests.
Community work includes KOVAR (fund raising for the intellectually disabled), blood drives throughout the year, Woodman Road Clean-Up, support of McGuire VA Hospital activities, Special Olympics events, and many other activities.
The Council is always seeking men who are practicing Catholics and 18 years or older who want to exemplify their faith through action and commitment. For more information, contact Barry Cawley, phone 501-0551.
