FIRST RECONCILIATION

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation (also called Confession or Penance) and First Eucharist normally takes place in the second grade for children baptized in the Catholic Faith. Essential for the preparation of First Communion is regular worship in Sunday Mass, participation in religious education, and a commitment on the part of the parents to the religious education of their children after the first reception of Communion.
Sacramental preparation includes regular religious education classes for children, and two parent and child preparation meetings for each of the Sacraments. First Reconciliation is celebrated in December. First Eucharist is celebrated in May.

FIRST EUCHARIST

The Sacrament of Eucharist is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation which are the foundations of Christian life. The faithful are born anew by Baptism, are strengthened by Confirmation, and nourished by the Eucharist. For information on these three sacraments as part of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, see Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
Eucharist is the preeminent sacrament from which all others have meaning, the source and summit of all Christian life even more so than Baptism, it is the high point of Initiation. The Sunday celebration of the Eucharist is at the heart of the Church’s life. It is the ritual, sacramental action of thanksgiving to God which constitutes the principal Christian liturgical celebration of and communion in the paschal mystery of Christ. The liturgical action called the Eucharist is also traditionally known as the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
